We are delighted to welcome you to the first “Surgery of the Glands: a hands-on course” in Vienna. This event brings together internationally recognized experts to share their knowledge and practical tips and tricks for the surgical treatment of thyroid, parathyroid, and salivary gland diseases.
Diseases of the thyroid, parathyroid, and salivary glands are among the most common challenges in head and neck surgery. This comprehensive course focuses on the latest clinical findings, surgical innovations, and multidisciplinary strategies for both benign and malignant conditions. Participants benefit from direct interaction with highly qualified surgeons and gain valuable insights into surgical techniques, complication management, and decision-making principles.

Day 1 – “How I Do It” presentations

The opening day offers a series of practice-oriented, case-based lectures given by leading specialists. These sessions will cover surgical procedures, indications, patient selection, perioperative care, and tips for avoiding complications.

 

Day 2 – Live Surgeries

On the second day, participants have the opportunity to witness live surgeries performed by experts and broadcast directly from the operating room. Experienced moderators guide the discussions and facilitate questions and interaction in real time.

 

Day 3 – Anatomy Lab: Practical Training

The final day offers intensive practical training in dissection techniques and refinement of procedures in the anatomical laboratory. Participants apply surgical principles under expert guidance, deepen their anatomical understanding, and strengthen their surgical confidence.
